Painting Portraits

We are learning to paint portraits using very watery, thin paint. 
Step one: draw the portrait in pencil. 
Step two: paint our first layer of colour, spreading the paint quickly for a light layer of colour. Let the paint dry. 
Step three: Add more layers to create shadows and outlines, where we want the paint to be darker.
